Can you see the picture I have uploaded as it shows what box I am trying to enter a valid BT ID to complete the test?

It wasn't coming up on the thread @Orient, but I've been able to see it on your profile.

It isn't asking for your BT ID, it is the Broadband Service ID, which does start BBEU.

That would usually be on any emails or letters that were sent to you when you took out the contract, but if you don't have that available, it would be best to get in touch with our broadband tech guides, who can get this for your reference, and also take a look at your speed for you.

Just to add I contacted BT and they will not provide my broadband ID due to security/scamming?
They are the only ones who can run the test, which is strange because it clearly comes up with the speedtest, so why are you then allowed to access it?

I'm a bit mystified tbh!

Thanks for getting in touch with our team @Orient.

If they're not able to provide you with these details, then as an alternative they should still be able to help run any checks on  your broadband connection if you're having trouble.

As an alternative, if you log into the My BT app, there's the option to test your speeds and run further diagnostics in here too.

Yes, I realise I can do that. This all came about when one of their suppprt people told me you can test directly into the router with an ethernet cable. I was basically trying it out. Thanks for your reply.
