Problems with BT Infinity 2 speeds and latency

Hello and good afternoon.

For some time now I have been having problems with the speed of my connection and high latency.{Multiplayer on line gamer here}

Since August 2017 serveral tickets have been opened and closed regarding this issue.

Today I have pursude this by contacting BT via on line chat.

I spoke Ajmal and explained the issue and history in detail. He asked me to run the BTW test. I did this as specified and gave the results.

Download speed 42.28mbps Up load speed 16.55mbps Ping 31.50

For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 40 Mbps-59.98 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 59.98 Mbps

I did all the further tests I was asked to do. Powering off the BT Hub 5 wait 30 seconds and restart several times.

I also did this with all other Ethernet wires disconnected from the Hub save for mine.

The master socket test was also done, pluging in to the test socket etc.

Some fiddling was being done at his end. I was asked to power off hub again and re run BTW performance test again.

This returned the following.

Download speed 58.04mbps upload speed 13.24mbps ping of 40.88

Download speedachieved during the test was - 58.04 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 40 Mbps-59.98 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 59.98 Mbps

The guy rang and said the issue was now fixed. I mentioned again that i was a gamer and questioned the high ping.

I was fobbed off to BT tech experts at a cost of £8.00 a month. Needless to say I declined as a pay enough as it is!

Case was closed as resolved. I got a text confiming this.

Now later this afternoon struggling again with slow speeds and high pings, making any on line gaming impossible.

I ran the BTW test once again.  Here are the results:

BTW test

As you can see the speed has once again dropped

Download speedachieved during the test was - 39.52 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 40 Mbps-59.98 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 59.98 Mbps

Your advise and assistance would be apprecitated

Thank you

Joss
