Problems with a home hub 4 or line

Have had some troubles with our connection the line keeps dropping to about 0.15mbps for about 10-15sec doesn't drop enough to disconnect any of the computers just phones this happens every 10-15mins and effects gaming and streaming (will kick us out of games or stop netflixs) have spoken to BT and they say my line is fine. 

 

Have moved the modem, disconnected any phones, have done a line test, have checked for noise on the line, have reset the modem and router and have had a technician out to check the lines they fixed what they found yet it still happens. 

 

It's happening on wired and wireless connections and all devises at the same time so its not the computers or game consoles and have watched the lights on the router and modem they don't change.

Make a direct connection from your PC/Laptop to the modem which will eliminate the homehub. Follow this guide to do that. Use your computer as normal to see if it disconnects. If it does not disconnect you will know it is a faulty hub.

Step 1: Remove the homehub from the modem

Step2: Connect your pc/laptop into the modem using LAN1 port

Step3: Open network and sharing centre on windows and click set up a new connection or network

Step4: Connect to the internet then click make a new connection Broadband PPPoE

Step5: Username bthomehub@btbroadband.com and the password as BT

Step6: connect, If it doesn't,keep pressing try again until it does.
