Quick question regarding bufferfloat
Hi Guys,
I've recently had FTTP installed and overall im pretty happy, i just wanted to ask a quick question.
My connection seems overall smoother and nearly half the ping on some servers but my bufferfloat has gone from an "A" rating (with virgin) to a "C" rating with BT.
Can anyone explain this? im using the same equipment as before, except of course not using virgin hub.
Is their an explainable reason for this or? Im not using BT hub Im using my own router. Should i switch back to hub2? could this help?.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks guys!

Re: Quick question regarding bufferfloat
My understanding is that it is the router where bufferbloat occurs.
"Should i switch back to hub2? could this help?"
Can't hurt to try, can it? (Though from what I understand, the BT SmartHub2 isn't particularly good in that respect either?).

Re: Quick question regarding bufferfloat
I’m on BT Full Fibre 100 and use a BT Smart Hub 2.
When I use that test I get a Bufferbloat result of ‘D’, which I’ve always assumed is down to the router although in real world use the connection has been amazing for over 3 years.
I have seen a result of ‘C’ previously but that’s the best I have got with the BT Smart Hub 2.
