New to bt broadband hub 5. Placed the broadband hub in exactly the same place as the sky broadband never any problems but when we swapped yo by problems started. Now every time the phone rings the broadband drops off for approx 2 minutes. But but state the fault is on the outside line if it's not they will charge us £120.00 to fix the fault in side. Engineer came today plugged his gadget into main but in socket , he stated it did not read anything and had to look at the connection outside?? Bearing in mind no problems ever previously. He checked it and said we had 72 whatever they are coming into the house. Plugged the bt box into main socket which the engineer stated would work but it still drops?

can an you try test socket with a filter It is behind detachable bottom half
