Re: Fibre broadband very very slow at peak times

I have this exact problem can someone please help?  Getting nowhere with customer services ive hd a guy out from bt and an openreach engineer twice. My slow speeds dont start until anywhere between 6-8pm i am convinced it is a congestion issue. The engineers have always visited around 4pm and so find no issues. Bt have even agreed to waver my exit fees so they have obviously given up. Surely someone with some technical knowledge can resolve my issue?

cheers

Danny

Hi @Danny92 ,

You have posted on a thread that has not been used for over 2 years and is marked as solved.

I suggest you start your topic with details of your problem.

Re: Fibre broadband very very slow at peak times

Hi, I will do that, thought this would be the quicker option and was hopeful whoever resolved this issue for the guy who made the original post might see and be able to help. Never posted on a forum before but going round in circles with the ‘experts’ i get through to on the phone.

Cheers

Re: Fibre broadband very very slow at peak times

I moved your posts to save you starting a new thread

please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if  HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

Run btspeedtester when you think download speed ok and then again when you think poor and post the results.  must be done using ethernet connection  https://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/

enter your phone number and post results  remember to delete number   https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
