Re: Infinity 1 Speed Boost given then taken away again???

I'm having this exact same problem. Infinity 1 via FTTP. Recontracted on 5th January and have lost the speedboost. Phoned them 3 times now and getting nowhere fast. Keep getting told that it'll be sorted.

Welcome to this user forum.

I have moved your post to this new thread, so you can get personal help from the community or moderators, so please watch this thread for updates.

Are you sure you are on FTTP and not FTTC?

An FTTP installation looks like this FTTP installation

100% sure I am on fttp. I phoned last night and she said it was sorted and I'd now be back to 80/20 the order closed today and am still 52/9.

Does the picture I linked to, look like your installation?

Could you please post the results from the BT Wholesale speed checker, including the further diagnostics.

Your link isn't working for me. I definitely have fttp. I'm not at home at the moment but will post speedtest results later.

Thanks.

Thanks.

The image of the installation should display, as its on my public webserver.

Anyway, if you can provide the speedtester rusults later, then the IP profile will show what you are on.

Hi there, sorry to take so long to reply. Didn't get home until late last night. I can view your picture fine on my laptop and yes that is exactly like my install. Fibre cable to ONT and cat 6 cable to WAN port on smarthub.

I did the Bt speedtest and it gave me 55.3 DL, 9.02 UL and 25.3 ping. Interstingly when I try the further diagnostics it won't recognise my postcode and building number as having an fttp intsallation!

Quite strange as my speeds were constantly 75-76DL and 20UL before I renewed contract.

Ah well, back on the phone tomorrow I guess.

All sorted. Spoke to Dan on the fibre team and back at solid 76/20. Happy days 😃

Pleased you got yours sorted. Unfortunately, I'm nowhere near getting my speed restored after more than a month.

Do you have a means of contacting 'Dan' please?

The OP of this thread is on FTTP where as you are on FTTC. The FTTP team he will not be able to help you with FTTC connections.
