I've been getting the same problem for the past couple of days - frequent disconnects, drops in speed and the phone line seems clear. I've got a usually solid 25meg connection but now it's in the mid teens, with sometimes a drop to single figures.

The socket looks like number 6. I had one extension socket, which I've now removed.
The line comes from a pole.
I reset the Smart Hub about 15 minutes ago and things seem back to my normal speed, but I'm not holding my breath. It disconnected around 10 times in the last two hours after being stable all yesterday evening - similar disconnections yesterday afternoon.

yes you currently have 27mb connection with the attainable slightly higher at 30mb noise margin at 7.6 is slightly higher than normal 6db so if dropped to normal then you may get slightly more speed - but need a stable connection
