it seems this speed problem is common

i too have seen my speed reduce from 48mps to 22mps i noticed pictures and videos were failing to play or show correctly, can BT please explain i was on the phone to the HD in india for over an hour and they were unable to help, the adviser has raised a fault on VOLO53-********* which is untrackable on the MY BT web site so i have no idea if this is still being looked at or resolved or pending in diferent dept's 

i pay for the full BT package infinity unlimited i have mobile too and BT vision but the speed test indicates i am only getting less than average Broadband speeds, whet th hell is BT playing to say this is poor is an understatement wasting my life on the phone to India whos half hearted approach to fault finding not even having the ability to be courtious over the phone when responding to a customers problems if its not resolved soon ill have to take my buisness elswere

if you have a Homehub 5 can you also post the stats from 1-12 by logging onto the homehub management pages then troubleshooting > helpdesk. http://bthomehub.home/

The stats for the Home Hub 6 can be found on the Information page from http://192.168.1.254 then Advanced Settings -> Technical Log. 

Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results. Make sure you delete your phone number before posting.

Can you use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection.

That's the wrong page from the router. You need to go to troubleshooting/helpdesk/

 

Within lines 1 - 12 you will see

Noise Margin
