My upload speed is also very slow. I have BT Infinity and a Download speed of about 18 Mbps, but the upload speed is often only about 0.5 Mbps, and video calling using Skype or KakaoTalk (a Korean WhatsApp-like service) often results in unstable connectoion messages and call cut-offs.
I tried contacting BT using webchat, but he told me that only download speeds are guranteed and cut me off. I then tried calling BT, but after a while, he said that only download speeds matter. I said that for two-way video calling, they both matter, but he told me I was wrong. After a while, he told me that he would escalate the matter, but obviously has not done so.

It was a WiFi connection, so I accept that will impact on the results. I can repeat it using a cable.
The DSL availability checker shows this:
When I try to run additional dianostics over the WiFi connection, I get this: "The Tap1 test was not conclusive for your broadband connection. However if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider."
I will repeat over a cable shortly.
Your upstream data rate is :-
1.20 Mbps
Your upstream connection rate is at the top of the expected range, so you are not going to get any more, due to your distance from the cabinet.
But surely, with a downstream rate of 19.85 Mbps, a higher upstream rate would be expected? The VDSL rate seeems no different from the ADSL rate?
It makes using many real-time streaming applications impossible. My wife often uses her 4G phone instead.

There is not much difference once you get that far away from the cabinet. Sometimes its not worth upgrading to VDSL.
I repeated the BTW Broadband performance tests this evening when connected by cable to the SmartHub.
Terrible performance this evening:
When I tried to repeat the detailed test after that, I then kept getting this error:
Surely, this is not normal?
