I've got a similar problem to Mjmacey. My local cabinet and exchange were fibre enabled years ago, and all the addresses surrounding my address on all four sides are showing they are fibre internet enabled, except my street. The address is in zone 3 London.
I can send you some more info which will explain what the issue is more clearly. But in short, I think soomewhere along the line there has been a data entry/database/record error as it looks like my street is fibre enabled but your records were never updated correctly.
How to I message you directly?
the mods don't accept PM and only can contact by invite
can you enter your phone number and post results remember delete number http://dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
if number doesn't work then use address but number most accurate
Thanks for the info. I can't do a check on the link you provided porperly, as i'm currenlty on cable looking to move to BT or other FTTC provider. Have been looking to do this for a number of years, but haven't been able to as my address/line checker keep shsowing fibre not available, however ii'm convinced this is due to a record/dtabase update error on openrach/bt records rather than a technical issue.
Reason I think this is beacuse every address on every surrounding street to mine is showing as connected to the same exchange and cabinet (cabinet 3) , while my whole street for some reason shows as connected to the same exchange but a different cabinet (cabinet 44)!? Having imvestigated on foot - I can only find one BT cabinet in my local area, which im assuming in number 3. I've got a google maps image I've marked up to show the logic/reasoning behind why I think someone at openreach probably just made a typo/error when my cabinet was upgraded years ago when updating their dtabase/records. Having spoken to a number of my beigbours, they don't fully undertsand why we haven't yet been able to get fibre internet and have just taken "not available" at face value assuming it was correct.
Obviously am being careful about sharing ddress details on here, but happy to share the image showing the whole street in question rather than my individual property.
I've tried emailing openreach and bt about this but it's always a reply from someone in their offshore contact centre who replies with a generic replt along the lines of "i've run a search on your property/address and it seems that fibre internet is not available in your area yet as your cabinet is not fibre-enabled". To which my response is - I know that. The issue isn't whether my cabinet is enabled, as i can see it is, it's that you've got the wrong cabinet details on your database!
Hopefully someone from BT can shed some light on this please?
(apologies for any typos!)
This is what i've been able to pull up, hopefully it helps:

Thank you for your interest.
so if you use you address on the checker do you get a result? try postcode but least accurate.
edit as you posted result - hendon cab 44 is not fibre enable
Yup just did that - see above post with results from postcode and street number query. Cheers for all your assistance on this!
yes I oticed and edited my post accordingly
As you mention, Hendon cabinet 44 is not fibre enabled. I suspect the issue is that my street is not on cabinet 44 - i believe it's a record error and we are actually connected to cabinet 3. Do you know if in past others have had an issue where the wrong cabinet has been linked to their number/address?
until you get an active phone line you cant be sure of which cab you will be connected to but your address would suggest cab 44
there is nothing that can be doe here unless you were placing an order for BT retail to be your ISP if you intend to use another ISP - TT, Sky then you need to contact them and see if they can help you
there is no better contact with openreach from BT Retail than there is from any other ISP apart from cable
