my broadband spped has dropped from 45mbps 6 weeks ago to 1.86mbps

i have tried on numerous occassions to get it sorted online and by phone so as a last resort i am now trying on the forum.

i am 20 metres from the exchange

i am the only user of the broadband

i am connected via ethernet and have carried out all the tips suggested by BT

are you connected to the test socket or do you have a SSFP?

 

try quiet line test  dial 17070 option 2  should be quiet and best with corded phone

 

are you having problems with hub dropping connection or have you been manually resetting or both just your noise margi is very high at 31.4db as normal about 6db

i have ssfp socket
done quiet line test and no noise
hub does not drop connection

distance from the exchange is not important for fibre  - it is distance from your street cabinet

 

hub was reset 1 day ago was that manual?

with that estimate I would be expecting 80mb conenction.  have you tried conencting to test socket with a filter and see if that changes anything

i was getting 45mbs 6 weeks ago but the speed has been dropping daily

sync speed or line rate to my property at this moment is 1.99 mb

if you have used test socket without improvement and quiet line test on then I would contact customer services and get engineer visit
