Recent upgrade offer due to 2018 price increases.

Hi.

Has anyone recently accepted the re contract offer to be upgraded from 52 to 78mbps. I had the letter through about the price increases in 2018. The letter and online offer stated if I re contract for 18months I would be upgraded to 78mbps and BT cloud would be incresed to 1TB for the set price shown. I have accpeted the offer 2 weeks ago but by speed is still on par with the prev speed and cloud storage still shows 200gb.

Customer service have been pretty useless and was passed around 4 departments when I last rang. They say my account will still show infinity 1, 52 but my speeds are now upto 78. I get nothing above 55mbps when my neighbours on the same exchange with BT are getting 70+ all day long. They are on infinity 2 with the same advertised speeds of 78.

Last time I rang customer servixce, nobody seemed to know anything about the letters sent out with the upgrade offer.

Thanks. Mike

your speed will only increase if your line can handle it - not everyone will see a speed increase

enter your phone number and post results  remember delete number http://dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome

have you tried using the test socket to see if that improves your conenction

Re: Recent upgrade offer due to 2018 price increases.

With your current line length and setup, you are not going to get a faster connection.

You may be able to improve things at your end.

Which one of these sockets is your master socket. Just specify the number that is shown.

Single master sockets

Filtered master sockets

Do you have any other sockets or extension wiring?
