how do you know their isn't a difference ? is it a guess or have you tried one?
Why would they make a type B if something wasnt better.
Personally i think the HH5 type A ia rubbish, doesnt sync as high as the HG612 , and its a flaky bit of kit.
as ray said this has been discussed before and they are the same spec just by different manufacturers and have different firmware - needed another supplier due to demand
There are many good and bad reports about the HH5a some have nothing but trouble and others it works ok. I am in the ok bracket with 60 days conenction time
You know at the back of the OR modem in the ADSL port there are only 2 gold pins where it makes the connection but on the BT home hub 5 there are 4 gold pins. but know one gets to use all 4 because the cheap ADSL cable bt give you have only 2 gold pins. what if you were to upgrade your ADSL cable to a 4 pin connector and it makes use of allthe pins in the homehub would there be any difference?
No. If the pins are not there on the BT cable they are not needed. It is only 2 core wire from the master socket.
