Good Evening
I've recently moved into new house and finally got re-connected today. However the master socket is in a inconvenient location and the engineer when he came to install the service was unable to install the hub in one of the bedrooms (for a reason unknown). I do have an extension socket in the living room however the cable is damaged so is redundant.
Is it possible to have a new extension running from the master socket located in hall way to the bedroom - the cabling would have to run externally.
Or any possibility of running a cable from the grey box on the wall of the property to the bedroom?
Ideas/Advice is welcomed and greatly appreciated
Thanks

it will not allow me to upload other 2 photos as file is too big - tried to export it lesser quality but still not working
if you run from the external grey box then you will have star wiring which will have an adverse effect on you broadband conenction
how is the wiring to your livingroom extesion socket damaged? at a place you cannot see or reach? you could run a data extension cable from the terminals on the back of the front detachable section
this may help https://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/helpandsupport/how-toguides/howtoguides/downloads/NTE5C_Instru...
The previous owner had done it at what looks a cheap job - no socket per say but just a little port thing dangling off the cable. I don't really wish to have it in living room either.
Looks like a data extension is the way forward.
If you are not going to use it then I would disconnect/remove it from the master socket connections to avoid any interference
