Hi. I got the price increase email and last Saturday I rang BT and got a good deal on my broadband which re-contracted me for another 18 months.

Data rate: 8.95 Mbps / 44.62 Mbps
Maximum data rate: 8934 / 54346

Re: Renewed contract speed drop

A lot of them mention G.INP having to kick in again but my cabinet doesn't have this. Also, I have re-contracted before and my speed didn't drop

Re: Renewed contract speed drop

Thanks. Is it 14 days I should give it? My hub usually reboots after 14 days, a known issue I believe. I don't normally restart my router myself.

Re: Renewed contract speed drop

14 days is for G.INP as you don't have that facility it should be less than 10.

Re: Renewed contract speed drop

Thanks for the info. Should I post to this thread again in 10 days if my speed hasn't improved? Do you know why the speed would have dropped?
