Returning equipment

Go to solution
I cancelled on the last day of my contract. Do I automatically get sent a return bag the day I cancel? As in they put the order in for it on that day so I recieve the bag a few days later?

Also, during my contract term my first hub devoloped a fault and I was sent a new one, they said I could keep the old one because I asked if I could use it as an access point. Do I have to return both hubs or only the one?

If you have completed your minimum term you only need to return them if you want to. They are now yours to do with what you want.

Re: Returning equipment

He did say if I kept it they would charge me £65, but he never mentioned that I had 2 hubs to return.
So you’re saying that if I’ve completed the contract (I cancelled it literally on the last day by moving to virgin) then I can keep the hub free of charge? And if this is the case then why did the BT chat support person say that if I keep it I will be charged £65? Thank you

If you have completed the minimum term you can keep the hubs. I have no idea why the customer service rep said that, you would need to ask him/her.

Re: Returning equipment

Ok thanks, I returned one of the hubs with the return bag before I knew I could’ve kept it. I still have the other, I’ll just keep it and repurpose it as an access point, the virgin hub 3 hasn’t got great signal.

@CJT80 that link gives me error 500, but it’s all good now anyway, thank you

@Mustafa_Islam

something with this forum... any link with any gaps at the end adds random characters to it!

That would be an error in copying and pasting the link. The forum does not add a space to links.
