Router question

I have just ordered BT Infinity 2. It should be active in just over 2 weeks.
I have a BT line.
Migrating from ADSL/2+ from a ISP who shall remain nameless for the sake of my blood pressure.

My question is. I already have a modem-router which I want to use (TP-Link Archer VR2800).
Do I leave the supplied (when I get it) BT router plugged in for the first 2 weeks to let things settle down & then plug in my 2800 (changing option in router to BT_VDSL) or plug in the 2800 from the outset?

As far as I can see the settngs for my 2800 should be:

BT_VDSL
VLAN ID 101
PPPoE
bthomehub@btbroadband.com
password=bt

Thanks.

Re: Router question

Settings are correct, might be worth using the hub for a couple of days just to have only one variable in case of problems and then change to the Archer. No need to wait a couple of weeks.
