Sky Stream keeps freezing and stopping the programme and coming up with "Please wait for your program to load..."
I am on Fibre 2 and its says 73mb and guaranteed speed 37mb/s so I find it a bit confusing what my speed is, I am autistic, I switched from Sky Superfast to BT Broadband on the 14th October so could my internet be slow because of the switch and why Sky Stream is playing up, it was not playing up on Sky Superfast, it was working ok on it.
Open the Netflix app and run a speed test. That'll tell you what speed the puck is getting.
I doubt the connection is too slow.
I've noticed on my own box it freezes more lately. A search on the Sky forum suggests it does this when it needs to restart after an update. As mine seems to do it only once an evening, (and I turn it off over night, so stopping it updating then), I can believe this may be true . I remain to be convinced however.
(Oh, and strangely enough, I've found running Fast.com causes it to freeze afterwards).
Every time I upload a file or download one it interferes with Sky Stream and stops it, it never did that when I was with Sky Superfast, now I can't watch TV properly because the line is 37mb/s when mine was 73mb/s so its bandwidth is slower, the EE guy on the door step seid it would be the same and its not, I have just gone back to Sky now, was sick of it, I never use BT again, and stop cold calling people on the door step please EE, do not help people who can't say no and are Autist/ADHD, so you belief what people say to you is true when all he cares about is getting people to sign up with BT/EE, and say the lines the same when it slower so it can't do two things at once download/upload and run Sky Stream and blocks Sky Steam because its saying `There is something wrong with the internet`, it like having dialup... 😞
And you can't grantee the speed for Sky Steam because your not Sky, they grantee it on there Sky Broadband but didn't know that until recently so need Sky Superfast if you have Sky Steam like need BT Broadband if have a EE TV Box and I don't, I did not like it becuase it uses mainly Freeview channels that look terrible becuase they are in SD and signal around here is horrible its DVB-T1 only not DVB-T2 , Sky Steam uses HD channels, its like Sky Q but uses the internet instead of a dish, BT should move away from Freeview.
Sorry for the rant... 🙂
