I am bemused by these findings as this past week the highest i was getting was around 3.5mbps.

Did you reset the Homehub.

Didnt reset the hub just switched it off for a few miuntes

BT infinity 40Gb usage

Going by the speed test with the diagnostics everything is as should be. It is showing the correct up IP profile and your download speed is more or less maximum speed you can get on that package.

 

Have you noticed that your speed is slow or were you only going by the speed test. Have you tried another speed tester

Switching it off has reset the Homehub so hopefully everything will be OK now.

I noticed it slow when watching a video on youtube, it kept buffering so i started to intestigate.

Tried speedtester download speed 31.05mbps,   uplaod speed 1.72mbps.
