Slow speeds on infinity

Hi,

Feel like im going round in circles....

For the last fortnight (after over 3 years of no issues) i have noticed my internet speeds drop from 30mb to 7mb. This has affected things like sky q on demand etc.

Had a Bt contractor come out monday to check my equipment etc, and even with his own hub and wires etc he was still getting readings of 7mb, then another time 6mb, then one time 11mb, all whilst on ethernet. He declares that there is also a lot of packet loss when he starting using a ping program.

Problem was reported back to BT (in a very laboured way!) and today an openreach engineer came. He plugged some device into the socket and got a reading a 34mb, telling me everything was fine. (im guessing he was just checking the sync speed) Despite me trying to tell him that i wasnt getting that speed even using different equipment etc, he said he would check the cabinet in case anything was "loose".

Anyways cut short, hes reported back everything is fine, but im still not getting any more than 7mb. HELLLP

also want to point out that my upload speed is also 7mb - which says to me that when traffic come down the line, something is going wrong.

Any help is greatly received as i really have little faith that BT will sort this.

Re: Slow speeds on infinity

which exchange and cabinet are you on?

can you run btspeedtester and when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post results  must be done with ethernet connection  can you run when download appears ok and then again when poor
