Slow speeds with BT Infinity 2!

I've run several speed tests over the last few days as my Infinity speed has been getting slower & slower - the latest test, run on BT's site shows that the speed coming from the BT exchange is 63.2 and yet I'm getting 17.3mb download and 11.9mb upload speeds. I'm paying to get up to 76MB download speed and up to 19MB upload speed so why are my download speeds so low? I have a wired connection to my iMac and one other PC in the house uses a wifi internet connection, as well as three iphones on the wifi.  I've tried the connection troubleshooting tips but no difference in speed.

When the engineer installed Infinity he did say that BT weren't using fibre optic cables, but had deduced that the old copper wiring could handle the fibre optic signal? Could it be that now so many other people in my village have signed up for Infinity that it's slowed it all down? I resent paying for the "top" package speeds when I'm getting nothing like what it says I should be!

Re: Slow speeds with BT Infinity 2!

your connection is FTTC - fibre to the cabinet and then your existing copper line from cabinet to your home

can you go to hub manager then troubleshooting then helpdesk and post stats 1-12

can you run btspeedtester and when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post results

btspeedtester

can you enter your phone number and post results  remember to delete number  https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html
