We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
So before connection I have set up my new BT smart hub and just wish to check with more experienced users if I have done it the right way.
1. I have split the ssids to my own network name with the 5 being added on the second 5 setting.
2. Changed my password to the one used by my old router , which all the houses devices are already connected to, checked and logged on with iPad, work on the network.
3. Switched off smart setup.
4. Set lights to turn off between 8pm and 8am as it’s in the bedroom
anything else I should do before activation please.
Keep in mind that most people only post on this forum because they have a problem.
The vast majority of the installs go through with out any issues but it is very rare for any one to come on the forum and post that.
Hopefully you will become one of the rare posters when it all goes ahead OK.
I am sure it will all go ok and when it does I shall make sure I post a positive comment to keep the balance 👍
The only other thing I'd suggest is turn off smart wireless and select your own channel best suited to your environment.
