Some advice on speed limiter

Go to solution

I recently switched back to BT from another ISP. When I was previously with BT my speed was around 44mb/s. With the other ISP I took a package which limited me to a top speed of 40mb/s and I was getting 39mb/s in practice. My new BT connection is getting 37mb/s. My question is would the previous ISP have put a speed limit on at the exchange? If so how can I check that BT have removed it?

Thanks for the reply. There are no other devices on the line, it just seems a 7mb/s drop since I last had BT as an ISP seemed high.

Re: Some advice on speed limiter

Estimated speeds for your line of 32.4 - 46.1meg.

Your line is currently connected at 39.7, pretty much slap bang in the middle of the estimated speeds. There's nothing wrong with your connection.
