Hi @Travelusa,

I'm sorry to see that the connection speed has dropped again. I'll be happy to take a look at this for you. Please can you send me in your details using the "Contact The Mods" link found in my profile?

Thanks

@Travelusa

Is it possible that an electric appliance in your house is generating interference?

The reason I ask this is because you said you went on holiday and when you returned the line stats were fine, as soon as you resumed your daily routine the problem started again.

Re: Sorry Mods 5th Time in a Year

Go to solution

I may have found my interference

I think it was my Sky Q Box

Thinking back my big troubles started on the broadband from then

When it was install it was connected via the Wireless

After a while i found that it could be connected to the ethernet witch i did ,even though it was setup for ethernet it was still connected via the wireless on as part of the trouble shooting i looked at the Sky Q setting and found the wireless or the ethernet was dropping connection to the router so i think the poor router was getting confused

So it caused it to reset

I have since disconnected the ethernet side

the skq q setting do not show any drops now

And the Router and Broadband ,,the broadband was reset by engineer that called

Has been Stable the noise db levels have dropped from the 20 db to details below

DSL uptime:

6 Days, 19 Hours 33 Minutes 20 Seconds

Data rate:

20.00 Mbps / 80.00 Mbps

Maximum data rate:

28810 / 95906

Noise margin:

15.4 dB / 9.3 dB

Line attenuation:

15.1 dB

Also my IP profile has gone back up from 45 mb to 77.35

So it looks like the Sky Q box and the BT hub6a to not like both Wireless/Ethernet connection from the same device.

So far so good

Just hope where i am moving to soon the Broadband is stable

the BT broadband Cab is just 200 feet from my new home

According to the BT Broadband tester for the address is 80 mb with min of 72 mb

May be able to get the BTTV UHD

So it looks like it was the SKY Q you cannot have both ethernet and the wireless connected  as skyq gets confused and started dropping connection and poor router startes resseting as well

ethernet disconnened only using wireless results above show this 12 days without a dropout.

bet now i close this off problems will start

Thanks MODS for helping again

Re: Sorry Mods 5th Time in a Year

A Hub reboot after 14days is not unusual, many report that it happens like that.
