We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
Have been looking around at my options and just have a question...
The wifi on the HH is very poor, keeps dropping out. But, is the HH good and stable if I turn the WiFi off and use another router to distribute my signal?
I live in a large house so WiFi needs to be strong.
Its not a router you need, its a wireless access point, or home hotspots. Its common mistake people make.
The Mini Wi-fi Home Hotspot 600 Multi Kit, would give you plenty of coverage.
If you just want a single wireless access point, then the TP-Link WA801ND would do just fine.
If you really want to spend money, then the BT Whole Home WiFi system is one possibility. It has a few issues at the moment, but they are being looked into.
I see the price has come down a bit now.
A new router with external wireless aerials, should give better wireless coverage, provided that you already have some signal at the farthest point already. All wireless router give the same power output, but the aerial configuration makes a lot of difference to the range.
I have no experience of the mesh sytem, as the router I use covers the house anyway.
There are a lot of threads about it, on the devices board.
