You have already done all you can by plugging in to the test socket which disconnects your internal wiring.

if you're below the minimum speed in the test socket then the fault can't possibly be internal.

The £130 charge is advisory but if you're in the test socket and the service still isn't what it should be, then there's no reason you should be charged.

Before I book the engineer I just want to make sure I've covered all bases.

 

I'm using the below microfilter which I believe was provided with one of my previous homehubs (haven't use a separate microfilter in some time) which is plugged directly into the test socket.
