Speed has fallen from 67MB to 3MB

Go to solution

Hi we have superfast Fibre 2 which is meant to give a average speed of 67MB for my address and it did for a few months. Now it has fallen to 3MB (although upload consistant at 20MB), engineers have been out and not done anything. Is there anything my side that I should be doing? or does any of the below show why?

6. Data rate:19999 / 3096
7. Maximum data rate:23482 / 68823
8. Noise margin:6.5 / 32.4
9. Line attenuation:18.4 / 16.9

With a noise margin of 32dB something is seriously upsetting your line.

Are you using the test socket with a filter even if you have a filtered master socket  if connecting to test socket check there is no dial tone at any extension socket whether in use or not

can you post full router stats please

have you tried moving connection to test socket with a filter to eliminate your faceplate and internal wiring as causing a problem

Have tried a couple of times from the test socket and is at the same speed. The fault after being closed has a new one against our account so hopefully that means a engineer has the fun at the green box

Post back if not fixed or fault cancelled and see if mods can help

I missed that the fault was closed on the 12th at 3:11 in the morning. The Broadband is still going at the same slow speed on download, upload is still at 20MB
