Re: Speed not returned after engineer visit for noise on line

Hi, I accept that the tester is not right as said im getting anywhere from about 50ish to what is posted. my router is syncing at 50 , I used to get 36-37 before the noise but now its lower there is room for increase if DLM relented but after months it still holds a tight grip on it.

Your router is not syncing at 50. You cut off the exchange and cab number from the DSL checker, what are they?

Re: Speed not returned after engineer visit for noise on line

So although I had a fault on the line which was fixed (a couple of bad joints) by the engineer, he didn't request a DLM reset, just said it would recover itself, which it hasn't my speed instead has dropped and remained lower now for approx 12 months. Although  it looks as if my line could support higher speeds am I right then in thinking there is nothing I can do to have it reset.
