Speed

My speed is sitting around 50.8Mb.

On Tuesday had power cut, when modem came back up speed was at 64 Mb, but it rebooted last night and is now back to 50.2 Mb.

This is at the very low end of my speed, according to BT DSL checker.

Re: Speed

post stats from router  if hh6 then advanced settings then technical log information

any line noise  dial 17070 option 2  should be silent and best with corded phone

are you using test socket to see if that helps

If it was an area power cut, I suspect your modem was one of the first to re-sync before any crosstalk from other users. Once the other users came online the noise margin would have decreased due to crosstalk to an extent that 64M was no longer tenable and caused your modem to re-sync at 50M
