Connect to the test socket and leave it for a few weeks, see if the connectivity improves/banding gets removed. If not, raise a fault to BT.

Make sure you are connected to the test socket behind the front plate.

Quick update:
An engineer is coming out on Tuesday. Apparantly I have a fault, which is preventing me getting the promised speeds.
So, the suggestion of banding could be true.
