Speeds fast (70bmit) for a few days after engineer visit, then down to 30mbit

We've called an engineer a few times, and every time, our internet speed soars up to around 70 for a few days, but then falls down to a consistant 30. Then we call an engineer again, and someone will come and fix it for a couple days. This is infuriating because it shows that it's entirely possible for us to get these speeds, it's just some kind of issue stopping us. Any ideas?

Speeds tested on a wired ethernet connection, and we live around 20 metres from the BT box on the street.

Post hub stats. If hh6 then advanced settings then technical log information. If hh5 then troubleshooting then helpdesk

enter phone number and post results remember delete number.   http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/

Dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone

Quiet line test?

are you using the test socket with a filter to see if that helps

Quiet line is completely silent

What do you mean by "test socket with a filter"?

please don't bump posts  forum members will reply to your post as and when they think they can help  lack of posts suggests nobody who has viewed your post  has a solution

did you try test socket which is behind the master socket faceplate
