Sudden speed drop infinity2?

Any idea why I would suddenly get a drop overnight from 76-77 down to 53-54? I’m around 150mts from the cabinet and it’s not missed a beat since being installed almost a year ago. All extensions disconnected. I’ve been on to support and an engineers calling. Wondering what the causs might be.

Re: Sudden speed drop infinity2?

can you post stats from your hh6  advanced settings then technical log information

from what you have posted your conenction is dropping and that is more than likely the cause of the drop in connection speed

try quiet line test  dial 17070 option 2  should be quiet and best with corded phone

Re: Sudden speed drop infinity2?

So an engineer has been. He says it’s a strange one and has done a hard reset of my router and left, it’s still the same. He says he will request a reset of the line with BT. I mentioned I read a reset was done in the cabinet but he said he’s a contractor and not aloud to touch anything outside or go in the cabinet. Waste of time him coming by the look of it. He also said the previous 15.3dB noise margin I had was bad and it should be no more than 6. Connections been perfect since last August with 76-77mb download.

Re: Sudden speed drop infinity2?

@nobby1963 the engineers have to contact an office to request a DLM reset even Openreach ones. Have you noticed a speed increase yet?

Re: Sudden speed drop infinity2?

Slight increase this morning with noise margin now at 3db down does this mean it’s been reset? Would a line reset change the downstream noise back similar to where it was before at 15.3db and 77.2mb profile? I can see a delayed fault fix showing in my BT.
