what estimate did you get from BT when you changed package? changing from infinity 2 to superfast plus won't give you faster speed just other benefits

I've never seen such a speed drop following a change of contract but it looks like there's something amiss somewhere.
What intrigues me more is you stated you were having speed problems before. Upgrading won't get rid of a problem. So, con you explain the problem you had to enable us to take you through the best fault finding sequence to get you sorted out.
Yesterday I noticed my speed was slow although I had been having problems with streaming services before so it may have been slow for a while . yesterday when I used the BT speed test it measured my speed at 2.4mb/s.
I just upgraded on the off chance it may sort my speed problem.
OK, so it looks like you may have had problems for a while. What bothers me is a) your short connection time and b) your noise margin.
Are you or have you been restarting the hub in an attempt to get your speeds up? Or is the hub reset due to the upgrade taking effect?
If the former you must stop doing it as it will only make matters worse, if the latter we'll have to go through the standard self diagnostics which will only take about 10 mins and potentially get you sorted out quicker.
