I assumed it wasn't good lol.

I will chat to the mod I'm in contact with and explain to him what I've been doing and a possible cause of my saga.

I only just recently found out about the radio thing so it will be interesting to see what comes of this. Quiet line test is clear too by the way

I need someone to clear this up for me about the noise margins.
I saw a fella on here with a high noise margin on both the up and down and was told they both need to be near to 6.0 on both.
Well my up is always spot on 6.0 but my down noise margin varies from 11.5 to the low tens - So would it mean my down noise is an issue? Or do both need to be high to be classed as a problem? I'm confused as I'm being told its fine even though my down noise is way higher and my upstream is on the optimum. How can that be the case?

Ok, well looking at these stats:

 

6. Data rate: 5478 / 39993

7. Maximum data rate: 5562 / 48971

8. Noise margin: 6.1 / 10.3

 

you can see that your upstream sync is limited to 5478 by the target noise margin of 6.

The downstream sync is limited to 39993 by the product cap of 40000 on Infinity1.

 

 

However looking at this:

 

5. VDSL uptime: 0 days, 00:13:53

 

Your modem resynced 13 minutes ago. (editted to say resynced instead of rebooted)

 

Isn't this the problem you started off with?

If you go to Advanced Settings - Broadband - Internet, you can see Connection time: x days, hh:mm:ss

Similarly if you go to Advanced Settings - Broadband - Connection, you can see Connection time: x days, hh:mm:ss

Does this match up with 5. VDSL uptime ?

Actually 13 hours. I guess the seconds didn't get pasted from my HH5 stats lol sorry. Yeah times match up with each other they're both currently on 1 day and 22 hours. There was a time not too long ago the router time was only up for a few hours and the modem was up for over a day.

The longest uptime I get out of the HH5 without an external modem is almost exactly 3 days. With an external modem attached its exactly every 14 days when they both reboot with either setup I get an OpenRG is going down for reboot followed by the PPP LCP Send Termination request [user request] or just the PPP LCP Send Termination request [user request]. I do occasionally get a PPP LCP Send Termination [Peer not responding] Whatever that one is.

Have you had the master socket replaced?

Yes, I would replace everything, starting from the router (done) modem (done) cables (done) master socket (tbd) dropwire (tbd) pair to cab (tbd) line card (tbd) lift-and-shift (tbd).
