UAS errors

Hi, does anyone know what UAS errors are?

These are my modem stats which look quite good except for the UAS. Is that 35 seconds down time?

Would these stats be regarded as normal?

Re: UAS errors

UAS is unavailable seconds, ie down. You just had a 35 second line break, but otherwise stats look really good.

Re: UAS errors

Thanks, so the modem looks good, (Zyxel DSL modem/router).

I have an Ipv6 problem with the Zyxel, but I can use it in bridge mode to feed into the WAN port of a FTTP Smart Hub 2 which should sort out the Ipv6 issue and having an external modem should stop BT telling the SH2 to reboot..... hopefully.

Re: UAS errors

Yes, modem looks fine. All Smart Hub 2s with the latest firmware are now capable of configuring LAN port 4 as a WAN port, you don't need the specific red port FTTP version any longer.

Re: UAS errors

Now that's something that tech support didn't tell me. I'll power it up and take a look.

Re: UAS errors

Yup, I have the latest firmware, SH2 rebooting now in FTTP mode.

Re: UAS errors

It works, I've tried it with an HG612 modem.

Unfortunately having a modem won't stop BT re-booting the hub if they feel the need though.

Re: UAS errors

Even if it's not a BT modem?

Someone did say on another thread that he stopped getting the reboots when he got FTTP.

Maybe I'll have to ditch BT after all, my contract ends in 2 weeks and the reboots are doing my head in.

Re: UAS errors

Any modem will be transparent to any commands sent to the hub. Can you not just use the Zyxel as a modem/ router and bin the hub.
