Pity. I'm beginning to think that test has been boken.
Anyway, you should report a phone fault. Your phone should no go off when it rains. You need an engineer to visit and fix it.
24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
I dont think the Phone goes off when it rains, ( although im not sure )
But the Broadband Definatly does.
Should i report this as a faulty line or a fault with the Broadband.
Well that sucks, Its the only reason i switched providers in the first place.
Upload speed is more important to me than download, its what i pay for.
I will request a engineer visit, the BB should not go off when it rains, and from further research it appears that the upload frequncy is at lower end, and if the rain is shorting the connection, then thats why the upload speed is affected.
Correct me if im wrong .
Thanks for all your help.
yep. its hissing
If you have noise on the "quiet line" test, then you need to report it on 151 making NO MENTION of the broadband. You need a good voice line in order to get a good broadband.......
On VDSL2 the upload and download frequencies are mixed.
Well, this is akin to pulling teeth....after 2 calls to india...both of which were a waste of time, i tried the 151, was told i may have to pay £120.00, if they cant find a fault, when they asked me to enter my mobile number, they put me back to india, in a another queue....spoke to a girl who was in the process of booking an engineer, and the phone cut off.
So im going to have to start again,....Jesus, how hard can it be to arrange an engineer to call.
Im quickily losing the will to live, ive been at this since mid-day.....
Is there a direct line to UK call center ?
I have noticed a similar problem. My download speed has reduced a little from ~60Mbps to ~45Mbps but my upload speed which was ~12Mbps is now 4Mbps and appears to be clamped at that speed (ie: servers in more distant locations give slightly worse download speeds but the upload speed is always 4Mbps) In addition my BT provided modem drops out of sync with the DSLAM in the cabinet about 300m away around about 4pm every afternoon and I get interupted service with it taking a few minutes to reconnect each time (with a different IP of course) until early the next morning then it's OK again. This has only just started to happen within the last couple of weeks. I have been happily using BT Infinity Option 2 for over 2 years now with only one previous spell of poor service when my line became noisy. It's not noisy now BTW. I did the quiet line test as a matter of course. Before anyone asks me for HomeHub data I should say that for the majority of the 2 years I have been using a Vigor 2920n router because the HH did not do what I needed it to do.
You have started your own thread with your problem. https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Infinity-Speed-Connection/Late-afternoon-Early-Evening-for-last-few-d... You are best to stick with it rather than jumping onto another posters thread. It only leads to confusion with who the replies are for.
