We recently upgraded to Ultra Fibre Plus, yet most of the time our download speed is no faster than it was before. Sometimes we do get over 100mps over wifi but rarely.
We used to be able to get the 4K BTSports channel but now it is a blank screen.
Can't do it. My laptop has no ethernet connection, and I don't have an adapter.
The speed test does not reflect real use, does it? For instance, it says to use an ethernet connection, turn off all other programs and devices. No one uses their broadband in that way.
I realise you need the data, but I can't provide it unless there is another way.
I upgraded on the basis we'd have an overall general improvement... when using the service normally. If it's no better, it's a waste of time and money.
Edit: So, never mind. Forget I asked. I'll phone instead.
The reason for the speedtest and hub stats is to determine if the problem lies with connection speed or download speed.
As wifi can be affected very seriously by local interference, no ISP will guarantee download speeds via wifi.
You can still provide the data it will give an indication of the problem.
