Re: Upgrade from HH5 to HH6

Grumble, grumble, ...........   I too thought the offer of a HH6 is just what I need to solve the dead wifi spots in the house.  Only paid for the postage, but feel ripped off as I have had constant problems ever since I changed the HH5 with the 6 about a month ago.

With HH5 my speed has been consistent at between 43-50 mbps on the Infinity, but HH6 seems just so slow - not measured it yet. Countless times I have had to reboot the router due to sluggishness of wifi.  Devices at home fequently loses connection with the router and I'm getting it from everyone.

Back to HH5 this weekend.

Any 3rd party routers that you can suggest?  And homeplugs?

Suggestions always appreciated.

K

Re: Upgrade from HH5 to HH6

It all depends on what features your looking for for example IPv6, G-imp for BT-TV, guest networks, G Fast (Currently in trials)

T-Link xDSL Modem/Router (IPv6 in Beta software)

Asus xDSL Modem/Router

https://www.asus.com/uk/Networking/xDSL-Modem-Routers-Products/

Billion and Fritz also do them

Personal: I have upgraded to a Asus DSL-AC88U its been running great apart from a few drops in the early hours.

The software seem to be a work in program because they added a lot of thing in the recent firmware update.

Wifi is also great I can get 5Ghz no issue around my home and with Mu-MiMo enabled speed are consistent between devices.
