You are basically getting the same speed as you had before but according to checker your line estimated speed is 80/60mb so would expect to get about the 55mb connection speed but even your attainable is not in your estimated range so I would phone customer services and get engineer visit especially as you are using test socket
I don't believe BT want to speak to me. I've tried over the phone and had the call centre close on me. I tried over chat and had the agent leave the chat. I just tried to book an engineer through the online troubleshooter only to have that fail while it was confirming the appointment.
I shall try again in the morning.
You should be complaining that your connection speed is well below your handback speed even when using the test socket so you need a broadband engineer visit Post back let us know how you get on
Engineed booked for Thursday morning with a follow up call promised for the afternoon. I'll let you know how it goes.
So we have signs of improvement along with a new 5c Master Socket. Engineer has just been and explained that the cable I was on seemed to be quite an old one that was getting a lot of crosstalk on the line. So he's switched me onto a newer cable that he says has 0 crosstalk on it. There's been an improvement but it's still below BT's minimum guarentee but I'll give the line some time to settle.
