Upgrade to Ultafast fibre very bad wifi speed

I was upgraded to Ultra fast fibre to the house a few days ago.

The engineer installed a new  BT Smart Hub 2

My main PC is attached by Ethernet and is showing 130 Mb/s download consistently. This morning our wifi speed (2 laptops) has degraded to 5 Mb/s. I have reset the router via the GUI but is stayed the same.  An hour later it was back up to 64 Mb/s. Has any got any advice on what is happening. Is this a known issue

HI, That seems to have improved the wifi speed. I will monitor for a few hours before I post this as the solutions.

I found I got much faster Wi-Fi speeds by using the SmartHub rather than the new Smarthub2.
The SH2 has the 5ghz band locked down for use with the mesh so there are less bands available for your phone/tablet to connect to.

Yes WIFI access  is now almost as fast as the cable connected PC
