Your broadband will not stop. Once you minimum term contract comes to an end and you lose any discount you may have and revert to the full price but your contract continues.
If you are upgrading to a new package your old package will stop in the sense that you will no longer be billed for that, you will be billed for the new package.
Going back a few years now, I was told there would be a short interruption between the ADSL ending and the fibre starting but I never noticed any delay
If you are upgrading from adsl to fibre then there will be a short drop in connection as engineer makes change but if just upgrading your existing fibre then there will be no drop in connection
