Upgraded to BT Fibre plus now speed has been reduced

Good evening,
For the last 9 months I’ve had a steady speed of 51-57mb/s.
On Monday I was offered an upgrade to BT Fibre Plus which would be up to 67mb/s.
My speed since the upgrade has dropped to 38mb/s with a line profile of 38mb/s.
BT support tell me my line is set to 38mb but this has only occurred in the last 2 days.

BT are unwilling to do anything about my near 20mb/s of speed loss even though my original contract was for 50mb/s

Should I ask for my broadband to be returned to my old package as we are within the 14 day grace period and hope my speed return to where it was?
