Upload speed drop.

Hi,
About 2 months ago my usual 14mb/1.4mb fibre broadband suddenly changed to erratic 11mb/0.3mb.
My usual connection was never fast but it was stable.
So I've tried BT helpline about 5 times since this has happened and not surprisingly got nowhere because the 11mb I get is within BTs accepted tolerance for download.
So I've tried a few things myself now and if I repeatedly factory reset my router I can sometimes get a flukey better connection of 14mb/0.6mb but this is still less than half the upload I used to get.
So not sure how to progress now, aside from cancelling BT as soon as my time is up.
Read a few similar posts to this who all had engineers fix there problems but not sure how to convince BT there is a problem.
All test done with a single device wired straight to HH6.
I suppose a non BT router might be worth a try to see if it's upstream connection speed is any higher.
Any answers much appreciated.

Re: Upload speed drop.

Post stats from hh6. Advanced settings then technical log information

run btspeedtester and when first test completes run diagnostic test and post results must be done with wired connection and preferably with IE/edge. http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/

Try quiet line test. Dial 17070 option 2 should be quiet and best with corded phone

Re: Upload speed drop.

Normal noise margin is about 6db. Your down margin is slightly high and allows your connection speed to move closer to attainable speed. Your up speed is low but need you to enter phone number and post results remember delete number https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html

Re: Upload speed drop.

So the downstream handback threshhold is 12.5mb and my test indicates that i am below that, so does that mean I have a fault?

Re: Upload speed drop.

From your router stats you connection speed is 15mb so you are above the threshold value. All speed quoted by BT are connection speeds not download speeds
