I had my infinity installed early December, the engineer spent a good 4 hours in my property, messing about drilled a huge hole in my wall and as a result blew my fibre optic satellite receiver leaving me without any TV or anything at all until mid January. Nothing could be done as its a "specialist part" and being the Christmas period. This also blew my partners playstation 3 when he was drilling which the engineer said was just a coincidence.
The engineer returned after complaining, he said he was going to his van to get a part and just left. I had called out numerous electricians and sky engineers to try and get the problem sorted, they ALL pinned it down to the BT engineer drilling a huge hole in my wall and killing off the box.
This ruined Christmas, the first one I have had off in 5 years (work for the nhs) had all my family over, including my nieces and nephews.
Now I can't get speeds above 40mb when I should be on 160.
I complained, was told it was being looked into, this was 3 weeks ago. The only feedback that I have had has been an engineer turning up out of the blue when I had just finished a night shift and it wasn't appropriate for him to come up.
I tried to phone back today, I was told it was a 4-5 hour wait to speak to a supervisor!!! When I said this wasn't good enough the lady hung up on me!
I am absolutely livid at the moment and want something done about this. I am having no luck at all if anyone has a number that can put me through to someone it would be very much appreciated.
It's either that or I look into taking BT to court for criminal damage.
I think you'll likely find that the "engineer" works for Openreach not BT, in which case you may find they try to slope it off - "Not us, Guv."

How can drilling a hole, no matter how big, blow your satellite receiver and PS3??
