I've recently upgraded my business broadband to Infinity Broadband. The download speeds are great, but I'm now having a real problem with upload speeds.
My current Stats are:
Download - 73.59
Upload - 0.13
It peaks at around 1.5 for the upload. Is this normal based on the fact we were told it was upto 20mg?
All Infinity 2 upload speeds are quoted as 20Mb. UK ISP's are only bothered about download headline speeds.
Most ISP don't bother about upload speeds as most customers are only interested in download speeds. Your upload would have been quoted as "up to" 20Mbps which could mean anything from what you are presently getting to 20Mbps. however you should be within the estimate that was given for your line.
Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results
and use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection.
If you have a Homehub 5 can you also post the stats from 1-12 by logging onto the homehub management pages then troubleshooting > helpdesk. http://bthomehub.home/
Obviously your upload speed is way out side what was estimated for your line. I would try a couple of things before conacting BT.
Try ONE power cycle of the Openreach modem, see link how to do that.
Once everything has restarted I would then do a factory reset of the homehub by pressing a pin into the recess button on the rear for about 20 seconds.
Once it has restarted and everything has settled re-run the speed test and diagnostics.
If ther is no improvement you will ned to contact BT and ask them to investigate. They may be reluctant because as has already been said they tend to focus on download speeds but be persistant with them.

So, I've done the reset, and this is what I'm getting:
So it's showing a slight increase, from this morning, but no different to what I have been getting. I think the maximum I've had is 1.5Mbps.
Like you said, BT don't appear to be interested what so ever with the upload speeds. Although they did offer to sell me a leased line for £10 a day to assist!
Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.
Just re-run the test....
Didn't realise I was in the residential. Just sent them an email via the complaint form, so will wait to hear from that before posting again.
