@SJWJ correct, the mini hub will only provide an internet connection while the fixed line (fibre) issue is awaiting to resolved. It will not however, enable Digital Voice to work.
More information about the nationwide change to Internet based voice service can be found at https://landlinesgo.digital
@RobbieMac , as a feature request can this be looked at please? I.e allowing digital voice to continue to work with either the hybrid connect device or via the mini-hub. Would help those situations when there's a fixed line broadband issue and those using digital voice.
Thanks for your suggestion about a traditional type phone using a mobile SIM card. I had no idea such a thing existed.
For the benefit of others needing help whilst BT and Openreach fail to sort out a house move, the solution we have for now is a ‘GSM’ phone. It looks and works like a regular desktop phone but uses a SIM card. Ironically the one we have purchased has 4g capability and works as a Wi-Fi hotspot as well, replacing the need for the BT mini-hub. So maybe we’ll just stick with this for now and move to a provider with better customer communications to get the landline sorted out….
