WIFI speed issues

Currently experiencing slow wifi speeds for the past 6 months.  Have had to install 2 ethernet cables for the 2 connections upstairs which is not ideal.

Wifi can be weak/intermittent on mobile devices which didn't happen  before.

Router (BTHH3) was installed in 2009.  Does the range from the router deteriorate over time.  Would I benefit if this was replaced/updated?

Completed the BT wholesale speedtest which yielded results > what I am actually getting.

A newer home hub model should have a better wifi range than the hub 3. If you are able to send me your account details via PM I can see if we can sort a newer version for you. Thank you,
