I am using the Openreach HG612 modem with an Asus RT-AC68U Router.
It's Tuesday night now and my connection hasn't improved much. Like I said before - I was easily getting 50MB for a good 10 days or so with no issues. Any ideas?
I have installed the HG612 Modem Stats program, v5 by Ronski, so stats are available for you guys to assess.
Please assist as Speedtest right now is showing half the speed (25MB/s) I should be getting.
A couple weeks ago I created a thread but I didn't have a landline phone to carry out tests...so I'll start again and create a new thread.
I've had Infinity 52MB for approx 6 weeks now. The first couple weeks I had a stable 52MB connection however lately I've noticed drops in speed. I have a new build property so wiring/connections should be fairly new.
I often have an Attainable Rate of 50148 and a Line Rate of 51310.
This morning it dropped to an AR of 23008 and LR of 30314.
Can someone please explain what is going on here? System up time is 12 days so it's not rebooted or anything.

John46 gave me some tests to do in old thread. Results are below. Also - I don't think it's weekend congestion related as it's been like this for at least 3 weeks now. Someone please help 🙂
I have also ran the noise test using the landline phone and I heard zero noise, so that seems fine.
Have you tried re-starting the modem?
I doubt that your router is causing the problem but if you do want to rule it out and assuming you are using a Windows computer you could make a direct connection from your PC/Laptop to the modem which will eliminate the router.
Follow this guide to do that. Use your computer as normal to see if your speeds improve. Obviously no other devices will be able to use the Internet when you are doing this.
Step 1: Remove the router from the modem
Step2: Connect your pc/laptop into the modem using LAN1 port
Step3: Open network and sharing centre on Windows and click set up a new connection or network
Step4: Connect to the internet then click make a new connection Broadband PPPoE
Step5: Username email@example.com and the password as BT
Step6: connect, If it doesn't,keep pressing try again until it does.
Your speeds are rubbish. Nothing to lose and it will re-sync.
