I am getting 17mb download, but only have 1.5mb upload. . . it used to be 4mb.
Why don't BT speed tests show the upload speed?
Is there a way to get BT to look at the upload speed?
enter your phone number and post results remember delete number http://dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
run btspeedtester and when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post results must be done with wired connection and preferably with IE/edge as firefox/chrome are giving odd results
if you are on adsls conenction then max up speed is about 1/1.2mb

Your speedtest results
BT Exchange => BT Home Hub
the speedtest is not from diagnostic results as that will much more information including your down and up speed and profile. Can you run btspeedtester diagnostic test using the link I previously posted
you have posted in the adsl/copper connection but from your comments and dslchecker results I think you have FTTC not adsl2
can you post stats from your router
The only link I found on your original post was to http://dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
This asked for a landline number which I entered. . . it produced a table which I duly cut and pasted above. On this form there was no other link to a diagnostic test. . .I am therefore fairly confused now.
I do not believe we have FTTC, but POTS as the road out side our house is lined with telegraph poles and our service definitely comes from telegraph pole which I assume is copper and therefore POTS.
Would be grateful if you could (re-)post the btspeedtester diagnostics link
Thank you in advance for your help here. . .
Use this link and when test done click on the further diagnostics and post results - be aware it is tempermental and may need several goes to finally produce the diagnostic results which will show the IP profile needed http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/
FTTC - fibre to the cabinet - and then copper from the cabinet on telegraph poles in your case to your home so I think you have BT infinity which is described as a fiber conenction as against a coppre wire conenction all the way back to the exchange if that were the case you would not have a down speed of 17mb according to dslchecker
can you post stats from your router if unsure then which hub/router do you use?
